Crocus Sativus – Saffron Crocus is the source of the most expensive spice in the world and sells for $5000 a pound. Late Fall blooming flowers, dormant in summer.  Plant 4-6 inches deep depending on the size of the corm.  My September delivery  9+ cm crocus are planted 4″ deep.
