Mr. Fokker, Single Blue Anemones, as they are opening. This is the best time to cut them to bring inside. Be sure to keep a lot of water in their vases.
Mr. Fokker, the beautiful blue, single anemone is beginning to bloom. This makes an ideal cutting flower and has long been one of my favorites. It comes from a corm which is planted with the bristly side up or on its side if it is difficult to tell top from bottom.
You can see from the chart that they are planted only 1″ beneath the soil surface. Water well at planting time or plant before rains arrive. In warm, dry areas, you can soak the corm for a few hours before planting, and then water well. You do not want to water so much that they rot. They are very good cutting flowers, and if the blooms are kept picked, they will bloom for weeks.
Incredible! This blog looks just like my old one! It’s on a totally different topic but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Superb choice of colors!
Thank you.
