Now is the perfect time to order your Peonies, Daffodils, Tulips, Saffron Crocus, and other spring-blooming bulbs. They will arrive at the beginning of October and can be planted immediately, except for tulips in warm climates. Tulip bulbs in warmer areas need 6 to 8 weeks of refrigeration to grow tall and bloom together.

Peonies add incredible color to any garden and can be ordered now for fall planting. They come in single and double forms, and prefer partial shade with morning sun. Colors range from white, blush, pink, coral, rose, to red. These herbaceous peonies die back in winter and can grow well in warmer U.S. climates.
Blushing Beauty Tulip – Tall, Single Late
Tulips are always a favorite and should be ordered soon to ensure they receive 8-12 weeks of refrigeration before planting. I store them in a walk-in refrigerator at 45 degrees until shipping.
Daffodils, on the other hand, don’t need chilling and will be delivered in the fall. For effortless planting, wait for the rains, which create ideal conditions. Early varieties like Golden Dawn bloom sooner when planted earlier. Daffodils are also deer and gopher resistant because they are toxic to these animals.
