Marde's Blog

My new Marde Ross website is finally ready and operational! The products are now listed a bit differently. Peonies are organized by color, daffodils are in one long list, and tulips are categorized by type, like Parrot or Single Late. To find what you need, just hover over the “Buy Bulbs” heading in the navigation menu, and you’ll see your options.

Today, I found an old variety of daffodil I’ve never planted before. It’s called Erlicheer, or sometimes Early Cheer. This daffodil naturalizes well and comes from the same hybridizer who gave me Golden Dawn. He says Erlicheer is an excellent naturalizer and grows beautifully. I’m excited to add it to my list and figure out where to plant it. Erlicheer is also fragrant! Its double flowers resemble roses or gardenias. It’s long-lasting, both in the garden and as a cut flower. Once established, it blooms heavily in February and March and can naturalize for years.

The website now has a cart feature for easy checkout through PayPal. If you’d rather pay by check, my address is on the checkout page. You can also call me if you’d like to pay directly by credit card, though PayPal accepts credit cards as well.

I’ve ordered a few new peonies that aren’t listed on the site yet, so feel free to inquire if you’re interested. And don’t forget, you can visit my “Daffodil Hill” during February and March. The new Marde Ross website is finally here, and I’m excited to share it with you!
